Helen Elnora Meece, daughter of the late William Elmer and Dora Sears Meece, was born March 21, 1938 at Colo, KY and she departed this life on March 2, 2019 surroounded by her loving family. She had attained the age of 80 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Delmar Ray Meece, he preceded her in death. Survivors include; two sons, Calvin Meece of Mt. Vernon, KY, and Sammy (and Sherry) Meece of Somerset, KY; one daughter, Ronda (and Joe) Crawford of Somerset, KY; three grandchildren, Laura (and Billy) Coomer of Somerset, KY; Hunter Crawford of Lexington, KY; and Winston Crawford of Somerset, KY; three great grandchildren, Abbee, Emma, and Jordan Coomer and one great great grandchild, Clark Coomer; the following siblings, John Clinton Meece of Jacksonville, FL, Gordon Meece, Ronnie (and Jane) Meece, Clifford Meece, and Loretha Colyer all of Somerset, KY and Iva Dean (and Gordon) Dykes of Cincinnati, OH. Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by; one sister, Evalene Phelps and two brothers, Raymond "R.J." and William Dewey Meece. Helen was a devoted Christian and a member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and giving heart warming hugs that will be greatly missed. Helen was a former employee of Cumberland Studio and she retired from Palm Beach. The family of Helen Meece would like to take this opportunity to give a special thanks to the staff of Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation and the professional care givers of Hospice of Lake Cumberland for their wonderful care. A funeral service for Helen Meece will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Lockard and Bro. Ronnie Meece officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay Hill Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Helen Meece will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Clay Hill Cemetery Fund, or the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
