Grace Floyd

Grace Osborne Floyd, daughter of the late Leonard and Lou Thompson Osborne, was born at Eubank, KY on March 2, 1928 and she departed this life on Saturday, January 20, 2018 having attained the age of 89 years.She was united in marriage to Mr. Windell Faxon Floyd on February 22, 1947. He survives.Other survivors include; three children, Walter Dean (and Linda) Floyd, David Floyd and Vangie (and Ed) Hansen; six grandchildren, Matt Floyd (Kris) Tower, Beth Tower, Jackie ( and Mike) Diekmann, Janna (and Tony) Johnson, Carl Floyd, Michael (and Evonne)Floyd, and eight great grandchildren, and one brother Robert Osborne.Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Barkley Osborne and three sisters, Eula Pumphrey, Faye Pumphrey and Bernice Jones and one daughter -in-law; Jan Floyd. Grace worked for Westinghouse Bulb Factory, while living in Richmond, KY, she and Windell later moved to Brigham City, Utah, where she began working toward her B.S. degree. Grace completed her degree in Home Economics with a minor in Science. She later taught Home Economics at Intermountain in Brigham City, Utah, Tama-Toledo High School in Tama, Iowa and Laporte High School in Laporte, Minnesota.Relatives and people across the country loved to visit Grace and Windell because of their warm hospitality and because of Grace's highly regarded culinary talents. It was not unusual to awake to the smell of fresh donuts for breakfast. Grace was a talented seamstress and quilt maker. She made quilts for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and other friends and relatives.Grace was a member of the Beacon Hill Baptist Church.Grace took great pride in and deeply loved each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her, she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating. Her earthly remains will be laid to rest at the Good Hope Cemetery beside many of her other family members who have gone on before her . The family of Mrs. Grace Osborne Floyd will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Thursday until time for services.Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Grace Osborne Floyd.
