Goldie Ruth Flynn

Goldie Ruth Flynn, daughter of the late Johnnie and Dovie Bertha Hill Helton was born at Sloans Valley, KY on April 28, 1931 and she departed this life on May 6th, 2022 having attained the age of 91 years.

She was first united in marriage to Mr. Carl Benton Decker he preceded her in death.  One child blessed this union; Mr. Leonard Decker of Las Vegas, Nevada. She was later united in marriage to Mr. Freddie Neal Flynn, he also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son; two grandchildren, Kevin and Brian Decker both of Houston, Texas; two great grandchildren; one sister, Revetta Helton Avera Hardwick and a host of very special nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives who mourn her passing.

Other than her parents and both husbands, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, Leonard, Milford, Dewey and Cecil Helton; and two sisters, Christine Miller, and Lela Flynn.

Goldie was a kind person, she was a member of the Quinton Baptist Church. She enjoyed being around her family and she was a wonderful caregiver to her mother during her mothers later years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Keith McKim officiating. Burial will follow in the Quinton Cemetery.

The family of Goldie Flynn will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11th until time for services.
