Glenda Mae Price

Glenda Mae Jones Price, 61, departed from this life and joined her Savior in Heaven, on December 28, 2022, at University of Kentucky Hospital.

She was born to James Arlie “Tom” Jones and Lois Faye Eaton Jones on November 11, 1961. Glenda graduated from Shopville High School in 1979. On June 24, 1983, she married the love of her life, Tim Price. Together, they had two children, daughter Ashley Price Ware, married to Nathan Ware, and son, Ryan Price married to Wendy Ard Price. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was the vice president/ operations manager for the Somerset market at Monticello Banking Company, where she served the people of Somerset for over 20 years.

Glenda loved her family and friends more than life. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She had a servant’s heart and loved her church. She loved serving at church and enjoyed being the hands and feet of Jesus to others. She loved her job and taking care of her customers. Their needs were personal to her. She also loved her work family dearly. Glenda was a wonderful cook. She was at her happiest on Sundays when her large dining room table was filled with her family. She was a loving presence to any child or adult.

Glenda leaves behind her husband, Tim, her children, Ashley, Ryan and their spouses, three beautiful grandchildren, Conner Price, Blakelynn Price and Nicole Ware.
Glenda is survived by six siblings whom she loved so much. Jerry (Marlene) Jones
Shirley (Eddie) Hargis, Roger Jones, Mary (Alva) Hansford, Don (Pam) Jones, and Jeff Jones. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews who were very special to her.
She is proceeded in death by her mother, father, all her grandparents, and older brother Kenny.

A funeral service for Glenda will be held at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 2594 Mark Welborn Rd, Somerset KY 42503 at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 31st, 2022
The family of Glenda Price will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time for services.

The family would like to thank everyone for the love and support they’ve received from family, friends and community. They love you and thank God for you.
