Geneva Hansford

Geneva Bea Whitis Hansford, age 97, of Somerset departed this life on August 29, 2023 at her residence.
She was born October 1, 1925 to the late Lucy Mae Whitson Whitis and Clyde Whitis.

She was united in marriage to Clifford (Gene) Hansford on September 14, 1946. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2017.

Surviving are one son, Larry Gene (Beverly ) Hansford of Somerset, one grandson Jared Gene (Katie) Hansford of Lexington and one great grandson Lincoln Andrew Hansford, also surviving are two special  sisters in Law, Una Delle Hansford and Elizabeth Hansford and three nephews, Mark, Scott and Travis Hansford.

Geneva made a profession of faith at age 15 attending Pine Hill Baptist Church. She was a pastor's wife and taught Sunday School in every church her husband pastored. 
She was a member of First Baptist Church Somerset where she taught the Sunshine Class for many years. 

Visitation will be held at Pulaski Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM with Bro. Ryan Coffey and David Pendley officiating.

Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mark Hansford, Barry Cooke, Albert Whitson, Jim Latham, Stanley Stevenson and Benny Hewitt.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Memory of Geneva   Hansford.
