Frederick G. Neikirk

Frederick G. Neikirk, son of the late Lloyd Glen and Mary Virginia Snyder Neikirk, was born in Louisville, KY on August 27th, 1942 and he departed this life on Sunday, September 4, 2022 having attained the age of 80 years.

He is survived by his daughter; Carrie Barshaw (and Todd); a son, Lee Neikirk; the following grandchildren, Samantha and Emma; and two brothers, Lloyd G. Neikirk, and William R. (and Linda) Neikirk.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Sharon West Neikirk.

Fred was a former County Attorney, having served the citizens of Pulaski County for more than 30 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea during the Korean Conflict and also during the Vietnam Era. He rose in the ranks to an E5 Class having served in the First Tank Battalion of the 73rd Armored Division.  He was a member of the Somerset First Baptist Church.

"Freddy" as he was known loved the people of Pulaski County, and he never met a stranger.  In order to honor his wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.

A private service will be held for "Freddy" at a later date.
