Emma P. Phelps, 82, of Somerset, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born in Powell County, KY on February 27, 1941 to Lonnie Patrick and Ada Rogers Patrick. A retired price clerk, Emma was an avid baker, a voracious reader, and enjoyed tending to her flowers and plants.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert C. Phelps; and siblings, Helen Deaton, Jane Gray, Jesse Patrick, John Patrick, Russell Patrick, and O’Veda Shoemaker. Survivors include her son, Anthony J. Phelps (Sarah) of Lexington; and her siblings, Mary Lou Burkhart, Leon Patrick, Minnie Shoemaker, and Wilma Siler. A special thank you to her niece, Patsy Ray.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, 2:00 p.m., at Pine Thicket Cemetery in Somerset. Pulaski County Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Emma P. Phelps.
