Emma Hines

Emma Jean Holts Hines age 69, was born on May 26, 1952. She departed this life September 1, 2021 at Lake Cumberland regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Emmit and Bobbie Holts and then moved to Somerset, Kentucky at and early age, in 1956. Emma graduated from Somerset High School in 1970. She was retiree of the Palm Beach Company and was a foster of numerous children. She also ran her own catering business, J and J catering. She loved cooking and she loved baking desserts.

Emma gave her life to God at a young age under the pastoral ship of Morris A. Napier of the Church of God of America. She loved to sing and give God the praise! She was a beautiful worker for the church where she loved the youth and devoted a lot of her time ministering to as many of them as she could. Emma was well known throughout the community. She was very humble and sweet and was always helping others in need.
She was a wife, mom, grandmother, auntie, sister as well as a blessing to many.

Emma is preceded in death by her brother, parents and nephews. She leaves behind many beautiful memories that will be cherished forever as well as her devoted husband of 46 years, James L. Hines, a daughter; Angela M. Bragg, her grandsons; Antonio Faulkner, Donovan Garr and Devin Garr and sisters; Sunnie Penman, Mary & ( Jimmie) Goggins , Wanda Campbell, Sherry & (Ronnie) Ingram, sister in laws; Marsha & (Fred) Gilmore, Joyce & (Larry) Hines. Emma also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, as well as a special friend Deloris (Peaches) Stigall, all who will deeply mourn her passing.

The love Emma had for everyone was unconditional and her legacy of love will live on forever in our hearts.

Services for Mrs. Emma Hines will be Friday, September 10, 2021 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home at 12:00 P.M.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. till 12:00 P.M. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
