Elizabeth Spillman

May 20, 1928 — January 19, 2020

Elizabeth Adams Spillman, age 91 years and 8 months, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

She was born in Madison Co., Kentucky; daughter of the late James and Mary Adams. Elizabeth was a graduate of Kirksville High school, and Eastern Kentucky University. She taught a total of 32 years at Paint Lick High School and Madison High School. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution (NSDAR) since 1955, and was a member of the Pulaski County Cooperative Homemakers Extension Service. Elizabeth enjoyed making craft projects, and also enjoyed teaching others how to do crafts. She enjoyed participating in both groups. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Somerset.

She is survived by her step-son, David & (Kay) Spillman; a step-grandson, Forrest Spillman both of Somerset; and a nephew, Jim & (Treka) Adams and their family of Kirksville, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Spillman to whom she was married for 60 years; her parents; and two brothers, Stewart and Hockaday Adams.

A funeral service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Dan Brown officiating.

A private burial will be held at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 5:30 PM Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Pulaski Funeral Home until time for services.

In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
