Elizabeth Phelps, 75 of Somerset, Kentucky passed away August 4, 2023 at her residence.
She was born December 23, 1947 in the Drum Community of Pulaski County to Andrew and Blanche Ping. Elizabeth was a Christian lady who loved the Lord and was a member of Denham Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed working word search puzzles and making crafts especially beaded key rings which she made for family and friends. She loved to sing and sang all of the time as well as petting and spoiling her little dog Tiffy. She will be greatly missed.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Herman Phelps, a son; Paul Dawes, one daughter; Shirley Branscum, two brothers; Robert and Jerry Ping as well as one sister: Janice Ping, and a infant grand daughter, Jasmine.
She leaves behind two sons; Marvin (Kristi) Branscum and Eugene (Becky) Dawes, two daughters; Sharon Smiley and Sandra Dawes, Brothers; James Ping, Floyd Ping and Sam Ping and one Sister: Violet Franklin, grandchildren; Brionna ( Calvin), Blake, Dustin, Michael, Kacey, Steffanie, Adrienne, Autumn, Joey, Angela, Josh, Jason, Jonathan, Dezarae, Rebecca, Kayla, Chris, Iris, Keaton, Alex, Noah and Destiny and her special friend; Lonnie Joseph as well as a host of great grandchildren, friends and family who will morn her passing.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held Friday, August 11,2023 at 1:00 PM with Bro. Gary Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow in the White Lilly Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Just Family Adult Daycare and Lifeline for the care they gave to Elizabeth.
