Elfreda Mae Patterson

Elfreda Patterson, 85, of Windsor, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the Russell County Hospital. 

 She was born May 14, 1939, in Tick Ridge, Kentucky to Carthel and Zula Foster Chumbley and was one of eleven children. Elfreda married Don Patterson in 1956 in West Somerset, Kentucky and they would spend the next 45 years together. She was a member of the Bethany Church of Christ and enjoyed Gospel and Bluegrass music, watching her soap operas and gardening. She was an avid reader and loved passing the time with a good book. She was an amazing grandmother and great grandmother and was a care- giver to them all. Elfreda was a good person who will be missed by many. 

 She leaves behind her children; Johnny (Christine Muldoon) Patterson, Pam (Ronnie Smith) Minton, Patty (Victor) Lawrence, Penny Kastle, Her Grand Children; John Jordan Patterson, Elizabeth Minton, Julie Minton, Heather Minton, Amy (Joe) Brockman, Jason (Sarah) Lawrence, Kari (Matthew) Richardson, and Monica Leah. Brothers; Roger Chumbley and Ronnie Chumbley. Elfreda also leaves 18 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

 In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers; Lindon and Richard Chumbley, her sisters; Jean Ashley, Betty and Evelyn Chumbley and two infant siblings. 

 A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Massey officiating.

 The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM till time for services.

 She will be laid to rest in Birdie Russell Cemetery.
