Eleanor Mace

Eleanor Mace, 83 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland - Jean Waddle Care Center.

Eleanor was born August 17, 1938 in Canton, Ohio to the late Stanley and Evelyn Filhour. She was the oldest of three children one preceded her in death. Eleanor was educated in the Greentown School System in Ohio.

Eleanor married the late Paul Mace in the summer of July 1959, two children were born and two were adopted from this union. Eleanor professed her life to Christ at a early age. The family moved to Somerset, Kentucky in 1987 and she joined the First United Methodist Church. She loved working in the church and cherished praising the Lord Serving on several committees, always enjoying helping others, She served as a nurse of Southwest General Hospital, Berea, Ohio for more than 10 to 15 years until she retired.

Eleanor loved to read her Bible, praying for and with others, spending time with family, participating in many church activities. In her free time she enjoyed cross stitching and bowling, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face.

She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother and friend, always thinking of others first, "to know her was to love her".

Eleanor leaves to cherish her loving memory her children; Steve and Marsha Mace (deceased) of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Marty and Jenny Mace of Bay Village, Ohio, Ellen and Brad Lessem of Arlington, Texas, Paula Perry of Somerset, Kentucky. She also leaves to cherish her loving memory 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a host of family of friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Pulaski Funeral Home. Visitation will be private for family only from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Viewing for the public will take place from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Following a dismissal prayer there will be a private graveside service at Mill Springs National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that expressions of Sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland's Jean Waddle Care Center.

Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
