Elaine Difloe, a beloved member of her community, passed away on January 27, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. Elaine was born on July 8, 1933, in Bad Axe, Michigan, to Nelson and Ethel Ritter Ducharme.
Elaine led a fulfilling life and touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. She dedicated many years of her life to her career as a security guard for First Coast Security. Her commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of others was truly commendable.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Elaine was cherished by her family and friends for her warm and loving personality. She grew up as a farm girl and carried that humble upbringing throughout her life. Elaine's compassion knew no bounds, and she had a heart full of love for those around her.
Elaine's journey through life was further enriched when she met the love of her life, Frank Difloe. Frank was a police officer who shared Elaine's passion for keeping their community safe.
Outside of work, Elaine found joy in solving crossword puzzles and word search puzzles. These hobbies allowed her mind to stay sharp while providing entertainment and relaxation. Her dedication to intellectual pursuits was evident in everything she did.
Elaine Difloe is survived by her loving family members who will carry on her legacy with pride. Her husband Frank Difloe stood beside her through thick and thin, supporting each other in every endeavor they pursued. Their devotion served as an inspiration to all those around them.
She is also survived by their three sons: Robert Difloe (Vicky), Frank Difloe (Vicki), Doug Difloe (Sherry); daughter Peggy Gonzalez; grandchildren Sabrina Allison, Dawn Flint, Frank Difloe, Adam Difloe, Rachel Difloe, Nicole Difloe, and Darlin Gonzalez; a great-grandson, Orion Gonzalez.
Elaine Difloe will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and dedication. Her commitment to the safety of others, her warm personality, and her unwavering love for her family and friends will be cherished forever.
