Earl Goeble Prather, 80, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Baptist Health in Lexington.He was born in Pulaski Co., Kentucky on February 25, 1937; son of the late Winfred and Clara Phillips Prather. He was a devoted Christian and a member of First Baptist Church. Earl enjoyed hunting, farming, and outdoor activities. He was a farmer and retired from the Crane Co. He is survived by his wife, Elvie Roy Prather; a son, Terry & (Beth) Prather; two brothers, David & (Jewell) Prather of Bronston, and Dean & (Charlotte) Prather of Somerset; a sister, Sue Moyer of Spartansburg, SC; two grandchildren, Trent & (Samantha) Prather, and Kasie & (Gregg) Tingle; great-grandchildren, Bryant, Noah, Nathaniel, Briar and Booker; two sisters-in-law, Betty Prather of Bronston, and Myrna & (Terry) Hooker; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Boyd Prather, and Marion Prather; a sister, Georgia & (Huelon) Keeney; and a sister-in-law, Janie Prather.A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, February 2, 2018 at Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. French Harmon, Bro. Gerald Ashley, and Bro. David Pendley officiating.Burial will be in Prather-Yanders Cemetery in Nancy.Visitation for Mr. Earl Goeble Prather will be after 5 PM, Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Pulaski Funeral Home.Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
