Donald Wayne Meece

Donald Wayne Meece of Somerset, Kentucky, age 82 passed away on April 17, 2018 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital surrounded by his wife and family. He had battled mutliple Myloma for the last ten years and ten months of his life.

He was the son of the late Ransom & Florence Phelps Meece of Drum, KY. He was preceded in death by his first wife Gloria Meece. His only child Danny Meece who passed away in 2010. Also, preceded in death by four brothers, Harold Stogsdill, Charles Meece, Eugene Meece, and James Meece. Four sisters, Hazel, Faye, Helen and Mildred; and a brother-in-law, William Cross.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Correll Meece of 28 years. A brother, Jack & (Wanda) Meece and family of Somerset; his daughter-in-law, Linda Meece of Somerset; two granddaughters, Tennille & (Chris) Johnson, and Danielle & (Josh) Burdine; one great-granddaughter, Saydee Burdine; and one great-grandson, Thomas Burdine; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Meece, Judy Stogsdill, and Rosemary Cross; two nephews, Danny & (Marsha) Cross, and Gary Cross; two great neices, Kelli & (Andy) Fisher, and Whitney & (Chris) Schumacher.

He became a Christian at an early age, and was a member of West Somerset Baptist Church at the time of his passing.

Thanks to Dr. Mualli and the precious girls that have been such a caring blessing to us the past years; Betty, Amber, Ashley, Pam, Nicki, Michelle, Courtney, Lana, and Lynn.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Butt officiating.

Burial will be in Elk Springs Cemetery in Monticello.

Visitation for Mr. Donald Wayne Meece will be after 11 AM until time for funeral services at Pulaski Funeral Home.

Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
