Dennis Lee Adkins II, Age 50, of Somerset, Kentucky went home to The Lord on August 23rd, 2024. Lee was born on December 23rd, 1973 to the parents of Rosemary Smith Adkins and Dennis Lee Adkins in Somerset, Kentucky. Lee was preceded in death by both parents, Rosemary Smith Adkins and Dennis Lee Adkins. He is survived by an only son, Zachary Trustin Adkins, A brother, Justin Ryan Adkins, as well as countless others that he loved deeply.
Lee joined the U.S Army after attending Pulaski County High School and served as a M1 Abrams Crewman for 2 years. Upon his diagnosis of Stage 4 Tonsil Cancer in 2007, he became an active speaker for the American Cancer Society, receiving their "Hero of Hope" award in 2010. He would run and carry the torch for the "Relay for Life" (Sponsored by the American Cancer Society) in the following years to raise money for the American Cancer Society. He was also an active member at First Christian Church. Lee was a man who loved God and exemplified it daily through acts of selfless service to all those around him until his final breath.

Military honors will be conducted at the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, KY, at 10am on Friday, September 6, 2024. Visitation for all family and friends will begin at 11:30am that same day at First Christian Church (FCC), 1115 Hwy. 39, Somerset, KY. Funeral service at FCC will begin at 12:30pm.
