David Lee Whitis

Mr. David Lee Whitis, son of Everett Lee and Betty Jewell Whitis of Somerset, was born on February 8 1962 and departed this life on January 11th 2024 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He attained the age of 61 years.
He is survived by his Step-Mother, Lillian Zoraida Whitis of Somerset, one brother, Gary Whitis, five sisters, Terri Whitis Chaney and her husband Brad Chaney, Tammy Whitis Thompson and her husband Jeff Thompson, Delores O’Donnell, Debrah Whitis Hines and her husband David Hines, Angela Whitis Weston and her husband Jim Weston, a host of Nieces and Nephews, great nieces and nephews and loved friends and family. Other than his parents, he is proceeded in death by a beloved nephew Michael Scott Haynes. 
David was an avid fisherman, he loved hunting and being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
The immediate family will honor David In a private celebration of life at a later date.
