Carolyn Sue Hewitt

Carolyn Sue Hewitt, 76, of Nicholasville, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at her residence.

She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on April 16, 1948; daughter of the late Lucian and Maxine (Adams) Gastineau. She started working for the GTE, which would transition to Alltel, and later Windstream, where she retired after 43 years of service. In her earlier years she attended and started her church membership at Langdon Street Baptist Church. She was a 1966 graduate of Somerset High School, and received an Associate degree in Applied Science from Somerset Community College in 1968. Carolyn enjoyed drawing, playing piano, cooking, crafting, and collecting cook books. She was an avid UK sports fan, and loved all of it.

She is survived by her son, Chris & (Christy) Ray; two grandchildren, Laeken & (McCabe) Cordell, and Braydon Ray; a great-granddaughter, June Cordell; cousins, Sandra & (Milford) Norfleet, Donald & (Judy) Holliday, Dr. Mark & (Billie) Skelley, Stevie & (Toni) Adams, and Paula Kay Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucian and Maxine (Adams) Gastineau.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, August 9, 2024 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Wood officiating.

Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 10:30 AM Friday, August 9, 2024 at Pulaski Funeral Home until time for services.
