Brenda Merritt

Brenda Merritt age 71, passed from this life Thursday, September 23, 2021 in Somerset, Kentucky. She was born December 27, 1949 to Oral Walker and Edna Lemay.

Brenda was united in marriage to Larry Merritt September 14,1968. Brenda and Larry were blessed with six children from their union, Sandra (Larry) Glover, Sabrina (Johnny) Vaughn, Salena (Tommy) Rutherford, Cordell Merritt and Bradley Merritt.

She is survived by her husband and children as well as one brother; Michael (Delores) Walker, three sisters: Barbara (Bruce) Lamasters and Margaret Walker both of Indiana, and Jean Conners of Florida. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren,10 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly. Brenda also spent 10 years as a foster mom for Benchmark Foster Care.

She was Preceded in death by her daughter, Sonia Merritt, one sister: Luella Merritt, Her parents; Edna Lemay and Oral Walker as well as her stepfather David Lemay.

Services for Mrs. Merritt will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. till time for services.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. with burial to follow in the Providence Cemetery.
