Brenda Carol Hargis Herrin

Brenda Carol Hargis Herrin, 66, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at her residence.She was born in Lockland, Ohio on February 2, 1951; daughter of Bertha Ann Slavey Hargis, and the late Vestal Lee Hargis. She was a member of Flat Lick Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Mr. G. A. "George" Herrin, Jr. on September 5, 1981. He preceded her in death.Survivors include; her mother, Bertha Ann (Slavey) Hargis; her son Mark Herrin & (Vonda Garland) of Somerset; her daughter, Amy & (Casey) Wethington of Somerset; a brother, Randy & (Linda) Hargis of Shopville; grandchildren, Jalyn Murphy, LillyAnn Wethington, Luke Wethington, and Reese Herrin; nieces and nephews, Vickie Hargis & (Chad King), Debra & (Tony) New, Miranda & (Will) Turner, Heather Campbell, Shawna & (Justin) Vanhook, Jacob New & (Leigh-Ann Reynolds), James New, Gabe Turner, Alex Turner, Randaline Turner, and Jax Walden; special cousins, Linda Gibson and Bill (and Beverly) Hall; and dear friends, Paulette Ping and Beverly Tomlinson. She was preceded in death by her father, Vestal Lee Hargis; and her husband, G.A. "George" Herrin,Jr.Brenda was retired from the Somerset Independent School District. She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother who placed the needs of her family first. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Ridner and Bro.
