Brandon Craig Young

April 15, 1976 — March 9, 2024

Brandon C. Young of Somerset, born April 15, 1976, to Floyd and Rebecca Young of Science Hill, entered eternal heavenly rest with the Holy Father on Saturday March 9, 2024, at the age of 47 after a brief stay at the Jean Waddle Center in Somerset.

Brandon is a 1994 graduate of Pulaski County High School. He went on to marry his wife Shawn Young, July 4, 1999. Together they have two children Ariana Young (Robert) and Cheyenne (Austin) Thompson. Brandon always enjoyed sports, including working as a referee, and collecting baseball cards. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Brandon is survived by two grandchildren: Azzilyn Marie Grace Raney and Norma Josephine Thompson, half-brother Charles (Suwanna and Sebastian) Young of Somerset, Mother-in-law Shirley Brayon, Three aunts; Dorothy Young of Burnside, Tammy Burton (Galen) of Eubank, KY, Debbie Sutton of Somerset. Two uncles; James Sutton (Joan) of Rush, KY, Chris Sutton (Jenny) of Science Hill, KY and a host of cousins and dear friends.

Brandon is precedent in death by his parents (Rebecca and Floyd), grandparents Angeline Young, Vernice and Josephine Sutton, and several aunts and uncles.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2024 Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Scotty Nix officiating.

Burial will be in McKinney Cemetery of Science Hill.

The family will receive Friends after 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 13, 2024 until time for services at Pulaski Funeral Home.
