Bobby Joe Lewis

Bobby Joe Lewis, 75, who was born February 7th, 1949, passed away December 13th, 2024, around 7 AM surrounded by his loved ones at St. Joseph’s East Medical Center.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Taylor Lewis, born September 30th, 1920, died May 13th, 1993; his father, Joe Bill Lewis, born July 19th, 1920, died June 11th, 1961. He was a brother to three sisters, Mavis, Janie, and Sue. Bobby Joe was a resident of Eubank, Kentucky for the past 24 years after he retired from Prestonsburg City Utilities. In his younger years he loved to hunt and fish. He loved nature and spending time outdoors.

Bobby Joe is survived by his wife, Sarah Jane Lewis; his only child, Christina Lewis; both of his grandchildren, Chessa Stephens and Noah Stephens; and his beloved dog, Scout.

A small graveside service will be held at Sloan’s Valley Cemetery on Friday, December 20th at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family is accepting monetary donations to help cover burial costs.

Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Bobby Joe Lewis.
