William David Godby, age 43, of Somerset, Ky. was carried by the angels from his earthly home with his parents to his eternal home in Heaven on the Lord's Day, Sunday October 17th 2021.
Bill David was born in Somerset to David Howard Godby and Melodie Prather Godby on January 3rd, 1978. After an illness of 25 years with struggles and trials, Bill David knew in his heart that the best was yet to come by standing on God's promises. He knew that there was something better by believing in God's word, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Jn. 3:16 He knew that this life is just a vapor in time, and then eternal ages roll. Bill David believed in the words of Jesus "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Jn. 14:6
Bill David wanted his life to be a testimony. He would want you to know that there is a better way.
to not follow the path, he had taken; the path that can lead to torment and destruction. He knew that even with his problems, disappointments and failures, the grace of his earthly father and mother and the unforced rhythms of grace from His Heavenly father. He was a child of the King of Kings; that he had an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance was kept in heaven for Bill David through faith and shielded by God's power.
If Bill David could send you a letter from his new Heavenly home; he would want you to know that His Father's house is a special place; where God and Jesus lives, a holy place, filled with glory, peace, blessings and joy; a place of love that Bill David longed and searched for; no locks on doors, no more tears, no more heartaches, no more death, no sorrow, NO MORE PAIN FOR THE FORMER THINGS HAVE PASSED. GLORY!
Bill David not only loved God, but he had an undeniable love for his family and friends; a kind and loving soul with a heart that always put others first. A soft spoken, quite person; sometimes just living on handouts, but enriching many; having nothing, having it all. He knew that surely goodness & mercy shall follow him all the days of his life; And he would dwell in the house of the FOREVER. Ps.23
