Beverly Michele Leahy, 59, of Edmonton, Kentucky, passed away on January 23, 2024, after her long battle with Huntington's disease. She was born on May 27, 1964, in Royal Oak, MI, to Louis Dwyer and Janet Dwyer. Beverly was a professional dog breeder and dog show handler, dedicating her life to her passion for animals. She was known for her love of music and her dogs. Beverly enjoyed attending concerts, horseback riding, participating in dog shows and playing board games with her children and grandchildren. Beverly was an active member of the KY chapter for Huntington's disease.

Beverly is survived by her mother, Janet Dwyer, and her siblings: Emily McPherson (Dennis), Elaine Schmitz (Allan), and Gary Dwyer. She is also survived by her children: Adam Leahy (Lakeisha), Daniel Versluys, Autumn Bennett (Curtis), and Stephanie Leahy (Adrianne). Beverly was a loving grandmother to Christian Dewitt, Isaiah Dewitt, Gavin Leahy, Ashlin Petrie, AJ Bennett, Addison Bennett, Aylani Leahy, and great-granddaughter Alayna Petrie. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Polley, her father Louis Dwyer, her grandparents, Lucielle and Allen Szynski and her son Billy Leahy.

A memorial service to celebrate Beverly's life will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, from 12 noon to 2 pm, at Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, KY. Funeral service and reception to follow. The family of Beverly Leahy's ask you to consider, in lieu of flowers, making a donation towards the funeral costs to help us honor Beverly in accordance with her wishes.
