Betty Kathleen Buff Bandy, age 94, of Somerset, KY passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab in Somerset, KY.
She was born on November 15, 1929, in Morganton, NC to Clyde and Annie Bell Buff. Betty was a housewife who loved to spend time with her family. She loved to play games with her grandchildren, read her Bible, loved to cook and to crochet. Betty was of the Christian faith and a member of First Methodist Church in Somerset, KY. She loved all of the staff at Somerset Nursing & Rehab and her family is very grateful for the love and care of "Mawmaw."
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Edsel Ford Bandy; step-mother, Eillen Buff, who she dearly loved; a brother, Clyde Buff, Jr; a son, Darrell F. Bandy; a daughter-in-law, Susi Bandy; and a great-grandson, Brandon Gumm.
Betty leaves behind to treasure her memory her sons, Don Bandy of Ano, KY and Dwight & (Lisa) Bandy of Somerset, KY; 7 grandchildren, Juli & (Bracken) Smith; Jody Bandy; Heather & (Tony) Ritchie; Caroline & (Nathan) Munsterman; Holli & (David) Hughes; Heidi & (Stephen) Dunagan; and Hope & (Josh) Bentley; three sisters, Libby Dutton, Connie Snuggs, and Gloria Jean Stutts; one brother, Joe Buff; and she leaves a legacy of great and great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Lakeside Memorial Gardens at 12:00 PM.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Pulaski Funeral Home.
