Anna Mae Early

Anna Mae Early, 91, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Somerwoods Nusing & Rehabilitation.
She was born in Augusta, Va on December 25, 1926; daughter of the late Andrew Percy & Willie Anna Rankin Small. Anna became a very special part of the Early family when she married Melvin Early in October of 1974. She was loved dearly by all of her sister-in-law's, brother-in-law's, nieces and nephews. She touched many lives in her 91 years; she ran the Colony Restaurant in downtown Somerset for 12 years, worked as a CNA for Britthaven Nursing Home, and retired from Roses Department store at the young age of 87. Anna was of the baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and two sisters.
The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, the staff of Somerwoods Nursing & Rehabilitation, and Dr. Flynn and his associates.
In honoring the wishes of Anna, the family will gather at Mill Springs National Cemetery on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11 AM for a graveside service.
