Allen Gene Collins II

Allen Gene Collins Jr., 67, of Nancy KY passed away on December 3rd at the Jean Waddle Hospice Center, in Somerset, KY. Born to Allen and Mary Jane Collins in Somerset, KY.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jackie (Longfellow) Collins, one son, Eric Collins, two daughters, Bethany Burton and Stacey Bates, four grandsons: Logan, Jacob and Landon Bates and Kaeden McGee, four granddaughters: Julia and Raelynn Bates, Karli (and Jacob) Adams and Kelli Flynn. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him greatly.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Lan Perry.

Gene was an avid fisherman and hunter. One of the first Striper guides on Lake Cumberland, not only catching large fish, he also developed lifetime friendships that he treasured. He touched many lives along the way. He loved learning how to do new things all of the time. From building model rocket ships to building a firework that lit up the sky—he always gave 120%.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, KY on Friday, December 10th from 6pm-8pm.
