Mr. Herman Simpson, son of the late George and Sarah Dove Simpson, was born in Duluth, Ga on January 04, 1940 and he departed this life on Sunday, March 11, 2007 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 67 years. He was united in marriage to Lois Mounce Hughes Simpson, she survives. Other survivors include; three daughters; Janice Simpson, Susan and Seth Atwell, and Suzann and Joshua Paluzi of Knoxville, TN; one son, Allen Hughes of Somerset, KY; five grandsons; Carl and Jeremy Okert, Zack and Mason Atwell of Somerset, KY and Joseph Allen Paluzi of Knoxville, TN; one brother, Herbert and Ann Simpson of Auburn, GA; and one sister, Linda & Cesar Equez of Los Angeles, CA. Herman was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 35 years of service, He was also a U.S. Air Force Veteran having served for eight years for his country,he was also a member of the Parkers Mill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Dr. Phil Ellis officiating, Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery at Nancy, KY. The family of Herman Simpson will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all funeral arrangements.
