Mr. Elmer New, son of the late George and Elsie Moore New, was born at Mintonville, KY on September 03, 1924 and he departed this life on Thursday, March 08, 2007 having attained the age of 82 years. He was first united in marriage to Mrs. Edna New, she preceded him in death, survivors of this union include; two sons, Harold and Jerrold New; and two daughters, Eva Koontz and Sheila Gwaltney. Other survivors include his wife by his second marriage; Nola Ray New of Science Hill, KY; nine grandchildren, Jeff Koontz, Michelle Gwaltney, Karina Hernandez, Heather (Gwaltney) Ball, Krissy Berry, Benjamin Koontz, Ryan New, David New and Harley New; four sisters, Ida Dick, Loli Spears, Marie Yadon, and Faye Taylor; two brothers, Delmer and Bud New; and eight great grandchildren. Other than his first wife, he was preceded in death by; one infant son, David Duane New; three brothers, Silas and Noble and Valando New; and one grandaughter, Nicole Koontz. Funeral services will be held on Sunday March 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Hoots officiating and Graveside services will be held on Monday,at 1:30 p.m. with Gant-Richman Funeral Home in Gaston, IN. in charge of those arrangements The family of Mr. Elmer New will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2007 and from 11:00 a.m. until time for services at the Gant-Richman Funeral Home in Gaston, IN and Mr. Elmer New will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie, IN. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all funeral arrangements for Mr. Elmer New.
