Mr. Floyd H. Phelps, son of the late Ransom and Linnie Goff Phelps, was born at Elihue, Kentucky on August 24, 1914 and he departed this life on Friday, February 16, 2007 having attained the age of 92 years.
He was united in marriage to Mrs. Noma Walden Phelps, she preceded him in death. Other than his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by; two children, Gary Lee Phelps and Janice Sue Phelps; three brothers, Gene, Joe, and Wilson Phelps; and two sisters, Marie Webb and Odetta Phelps.
He is survived by: one son, Gerald Phelps and his wife Linda, of Brooksville, OH; one sister, Ruth Dance and her husband Bill of Carmel, IN; one sister-in-law, Elaine Phelps of Somerset, KY; one grandson, Jerry Phelps Jr.; and one grandaughter, Janice Sue Phelps. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and other relatives who mourn his passing.
When Floyd was active and working, he was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters, He was also a World War II army veteran, and a member of the Burnside Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. James Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Burnside Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Floyd H. Phelps will receive friends after 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home until time for services at 1:00 p.m.
