Virginia Fay Cook Stogsdill, daughter of the late Elmer and Amanda (Brinson) Cook, was born on September 24, 1939 and she departed this life in the presence of her family on Friday, February 09, 2007 having attained the age of 67 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Hollin Stogsdill on December 24, 1957, he survives. Other survivors include; one son, Hollin Stogsdill, Jr of Somerset, KY; two daughters, Wilma Stogsdill and her husband Jessie of Somerset, KY and Donna Stogsdill and her fiancee, Kerry Foutch both of Somerset, KY; four sisters, Ruth Colyer of Somerset, KY, Dora Davis of North Carolina, Lillie Simpson of Science Hill, KY, Wilma Phelps of White Lily, KY; one brother, Elbert Cook of Indiana; four grand daughters, Amanda and her Husband Paul Mayfield, Angela Stogsdill, and Katessa and Holly Young; one grandson, Justin Young; two great grandsons, Zach and Andy Mayfield; one great grandaughter, Haylee Mayfield and her soon to be step-grandchildren, Jordan and Lauren Foutch.
Other than her father and mother, she was preceded in death by; five sisters, Zena Cook, Mildred Bray, Bertha Daniel, Fannie Snyder, and Verla Adams, and one brother, Mr. Albert Cook.
Virginia was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was also a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Eggers and Bro. Parkey officiating. She will be laid to rest following the funeral at the Pine Thicket Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Virgina Fay Cook Stogsdill will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home.
