Bertha Eugene Sebastian Prather

November 16, 1911 — February 8, 2007

Mrs. Bertha Eugene Sebastian Prather, daughter of the late Butler and Nora Prewitt Sebastian, was born at Richmond, Kentucky on November 16, 1911 and she departed this life on Thursday, February 08, 2007 having attained the age of 95 years. She was united in marriage to Rev. E. R. Prather on December 24, 1934; he preceded her in death. Survivors include; four sisters, Minnie Ann Lane and her husband Carl, Nellie Prewitt, Lorena Casey, and Ruby Casey and her husband Everett; one brother, McLedon Sebastian and his wife Dixie; four grandchildren, Ray Prather II and his wife Jo Ann, Debbie Knecht and her husband Tom, Michelle Oney and her husband Michael, and Monica Kelty and her husband Robert; seven great grandchildren, Dr. Brandi Prather,Trae Prather, Chastity Welsh and her husband Adam, Rachel Knecht, Lauren Oney, Nicholas Oney and Destiny Kelty; and two great great grandchildren, Austin Prather and Adison Welsh; and a host of other nephews, nieces and other relatives who mourn her passing. Other than her parents; the late Butler and Nora Prewitt Sebastian and and her husband; the late Rev. E. R. Prather, she was also preceded in death by; two sons, Ardyth Ray Prather Sr., and Dwight Prather; one sister, Irene Huffman; and one brother, Gordon Sebastian. Bertha was a Homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral services were be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Gilbert Robinson and Bro. Jason Moore officiating. The family will received friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007 and from 10:00 a.m. Sunday, February 11, 2007 until after services. Bertha was laid to rest on Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Memorial Bible Fund or the American Cancer Society. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the funeral arrangemnts of Mrs. Bertha Prather.
