Mrs. Clara Tarter Hicks, age 91 of Somerset, formerly of the Naomi Community, was born on August 11, 1915 in Newport,Ky. and she departed this life peacefully and in the presence of her family on Friday, February 02, 2007 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. The daughter of The late Theodore and Marie Owens. Having attained the age of 91 years. She is survived by three sons; Herman and his wife Donna Tarter of Nancy,Kentucky, Raymond and his wife Nelda Tarter of Celina Tennessee, Terry Tarter of Cincinnati, Ohio; three daughters; Evelene Wilson of Somerset,Kentucky Kathleen and her husband Junior Pence of Somerset Kentucky, and Dora Stickley of Stanford,Kentucky; one step-son; Eddie Hicks of Eubank Kentucky; and a daughter-in-law, Lois Tarter of Cincinnati,Ohio; eleven grandchildern, Bruce Tarter and Greg Tarter of Cincinnati Ohio, Lori Wallace of Nancy,Kentucky, Roger and his wife Connie Wilson, Randy and his wife Tiffany Tarter, Ronnie and his wife Shelia Pence, Tony and his wife Tracey Pence, Donnie and his wife Melinda Henderson, Melissa and her husband Joe, and Sherry Rose all of Somerset,Kentucky, Jeremy and his wife Jennifer Alexander of Lexington Kentucky; sixteen great grandchildern; J.C. Tarter and Nick Tarter of Cincinnati,Ohio, Logan Wallace of Nancy, Kentucky, Ashton Tarter, Adriene Tarter, Kendra Pence, Adam Pence, Anthony Pence, Nathaniel Pence, Alisha Henderson, Elizabeth Henderson, Kevin Henderson, Logan Stigall, and Emily Rose, all of Somerset,Kentucky, Raegan Alexander and Avery Alexander of Lexington Kentucky;four step great grandchildren; Kevin Hawk, Jordan Eubanks, Tanner Eubanks, and Delaney Eubanks all of Somerset, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by; her first husband, Arthur Tarter; her second husband, Everett Hicks; her parents, Theodore and Marie Owens; Grandparents, Henry and Rachel Gentru;, three sons; Charles Tarter, Burnell Tarter,and Larry Tarter, one daughter,Carrie Bushong; two grandsons, Mark Tarter and Jason Ray Tarter; two brothers, Earl Owens and Carl Owens; a son-in-law, Kelly Wilson; and a great grandson; Tyler Aaron Wallace. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 6,2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with burial to follow in Tarter Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Clara Tarter Hicks will receve friends at Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 5,2007.
