Mr. Coy E. Hargis

Coy E. Hargis, age 75, of Dykes, Kentucky passed away Saturday January 6,2007 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born on February 14,1931 to the late Barney and Myrtle Phelps Hargis. He was a Korean War veteran and was retired from General Electric in Blue Ash,Ohio. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle,to his whole family and filled his home and the lives of his family and friends with beautiful music. He is survived by his wife, Effie Mae Meece Hargis,of Dykes, Kentucky; two daughters, Debbie and Joe Norris of Huntsville, Texas and Stephanie and Marty Wesley of Bethelridge, Kentucky; one adopted granddaughter, Amy Tucker Fox of Somerset, Kentucky; two grandsons, C.J. Norris of Huntsville, Texas and Joshua Prater of Bethelridge, Kentucky; two great grandchildren, Macy Jade Fox and Emily Renee Godby both of Somerset, Kentucky; three brothers, Jewell and Geneva Hargis of Cincinnati, Ohio, Russell and Betty Hargis of Dykes, Kentucky and Merrell and Barbara Hargis of Norwood, Ohio; and two sisters, Shirley Wells of Batavia, Ohio and Eletha Gilbert of Norwood, Ohio. Other than his parents, Coy was preceded in death by; one granddaughter, April Renee Tucker; and one brother, Floyd Hargis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 10,2007 at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. William "Bill" Hargis officating. Burial will follow in the Hargis Family Cemetery. The family of Mr. Coy E. Hargis will receive friends after 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Military Honors will be observed by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard of Somerset, KY. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with all funeral arrangements of Mr. Coy E. Hargis.
