Opal Geneva Lewis was born in Cincinnati,Ohio on June 19, 1927 the daughter of the late Millard and Mae L. Jones Tilley She departed this life on December 22,2006 in Somerset Kentucky.
Opal was a homemaker and a member of the Duke Memorial Baptist Church for over 40 years,
She is survived by six childern; David Lewis of Swanee Georgia, Paula Lewis of Everett Washington,Les Lewis of Waco, Kentucky, Jerome Lewis of Somerset Kentucky, William Lewis II of Richmond Kentucky,and John Lewis of Somerset Kentucky; nine grandchildern, Jennifer Lewis, August Lewis, Annie Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Amanda Lewis, McKenzie Ball, Tanner Tavanes,Issah Lewis and Natalie Smith; two great grandchildern, Kevin and Sarah Hargis; four sisters, Pauline Wesley of King Bee, Ima Jean (and Romer) Keith of Science Hill, Eyvonne (and Bill) Guffey of Reading Ohio, Della Morgan of Science Hill; three brothers, Ray (and Linda) Tilley of Mt. Orob Ohio, Ronald and (Jackie) Tilley of Cincinnati,Ohio and Charlie (and Tiny) Tilley of Somerset KY and sister-in-law Gladys Tilley of Milford, OH.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, William J. Lewis; one sister, Geraldine Tilley and one brother, Lawrence Tilley.
Funeral services will be held at 11: 00 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. David Morris officiating, burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Opal Geneva Lewis will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2006.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donationss to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Contribution envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
