Donald Wayne Hall

Mr. Donald Wayne Hall, age 76 of Somerset, KY departed this life on Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Britthaven Nursing Home in Somerset, KY. He was born on March 9th, 1934 in Somerset, KY to the late Taylor and Grace Tomlinson Hall. He wed Joyce Slavey Hall on August 23rd, 1958 in Somerset, KY. Don was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the White Lily Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Somerset Lodge. He enjoyed working on small machinery, watching birds & squirrels and playing with his dogs, Mollie, D.J. & his cat Momma Kitty. Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce Slavey Hall; one son, Bill (and Beverly) Hall, one niece Brenda Hargis Herrin both of Somerset, KY; one brother, William Otto Hall of Casey County; one grandson, David Lee Simpson, one sister-in-law, Bertha Hargis Taylor. Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by nine brothers, Carson, Albert, Charles, Howard, John “Glen”, Kellis “Doc”, Earnest and Arthur Hall and Cecil Smiley; and his father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Mary Slavey. Donald was a kind person who will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in the Somerset Cemetery. The family of Mr. Donald Wayne Hall will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2010.
