Wanda M. Placke

Wanda M. Placke of Somerset, Kentucky daughter of the late Henry and Daisy Bea (Jackson) Placke was born on November 26, 1930 in Grundy, Kentucky and departed this life on Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital having attained the age of 80. Other than her parents Wanda was preceded in death by one brother; William Placke and Joe Wesley. Wanda is survived by her daughter; Patricia Ann (and Dennis) Ping of Somerset, Kentucky, two brothers Joseph “J.E.” (and Katy) Placke of Somerset and Edward Placke of Somerset, one grandson; Richard Ping of Somerset and the following nieces and nephews; Chris (and Debra) Placke of Texas, Allan (and Cherie) Placke of Somerset and Allison (and Michael) Gregg also of Somerset. Mrs. Placke also leaves behind four great-nephews; Will Gregg and Henry Gregg both of Somerset, David and Joseph Placke both of Texas. Wanda was a member of the Rock Lick Baptist Church and loved collecting antiques. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Lick Cemetery. The family of Wanda Placke will receive friends on Monday, December 6, 2010 after 6:00 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be handling all arrangements for Wanda M. Placke.
