Sharon Page West

Sharon Page West, daughter of the late Frank and Vivian Brown West, was born in Louisville, KY on March 27, 1945 and she departed this life on November 28, 2006 having attained the age of 61 years. Suvivors include her former husband Mr. Fred Neikirk; one son, Lee Snyder Neikirk of Somerset, KY; one daughter, Carrie Virginia Neikirk Barshaw and her husband Todd of Saginaw, Michigan; one brother, Thomas West of Connecticut; and two granddaughters, Emma Grace Barshaw and Samanatha Page Barshaw. Sharon was an avid reader, and she was a graduate of the Wagnor High School of Louisville, KY and she also attended the University of Kentucky. Sharon Moved to Ft. Meyers, FL. in 1990 to care for her mother and upon her mothers passing, Sharon returned to Somerset, Ky in 2006. While in Florida, she was involved with several Animal Rehabilitation Organizations and she had also worked with the Red Cross, as a hobby, she enjoyed and excelled in underwater photography. She adhered to the Episcopalian faith. Sharon was a kind person who will be missed by all who knew her, she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 02, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. The family of Mrs. Sharon Page West will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. Saturday until after services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the Bethany House of Somerset, KY. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements.
