Thelma King

Thelma "Granny" King, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Zinn Graeter, was born in Louisville, KY on March 01, 1915 and she departed this life on Saturday, November 25, 2006 having attained the age of 91 years. Survivors include; one son, Lloyd A. (and Judy) King of Burnside, KY; three grandchildren, Darryl (and Tammy) King, Dale King, and Robin (and Jay) Wesley; and five great grandchildren and one sister, Aileen Graeter of Olympia, WA. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by; two brothers, Joseph U. Graeter and Roy J. Graeter. Thelma was a High School Graduate of the Mercy Academy in Louisville, KY, she was also a retired bookkeeper, a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and she was a member of the St. Mildred's Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mildred's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2006,with Father Michael Ramler officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at the Calvary Cemetery in Louisville, KY. The family of Mrs. Thelma "Granny" King will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2006. If friends choose, they may give memorial gifts in memory of "Granny" to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Memorial envelopes will be provided at the Funeral Home.
