Mrs. Jean Brinkley Ping Denney, age 92 of Somerset, Kentucky daughter of the late William Wallace and Robbie (Capps) Ping was born on October 7, 1918 in Pulaski County, Kentucky and departed this life on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Other than her parents Jean was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Curtis E. Denney, two brothers; Robert G. Ping, Joe Ed Ping and one daughter-in-law; Lora Massey Denney. Jean is survived by three children; David Hunter (and Linda) Denney, William Brinkley (and Debbie) Denney and Martha Jane Denney (and Scott) Sears all of Somerset. Other survivors include two grandchildren; Jason Denney, Carol Denney both of Somerset, one brother; Clyde Ping of Somerset, and two sisters; Anna Jane Claunch of Somerset and Verna Pickup also of Somerset. Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a retired Clerk from the Kentucky Water Service. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky. The family of Mrs. Jean Denney will receive friends on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 after 6:00 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Jean P. Denney.
