Ina Correll Phelps

Ina Correll Phelps of Somerset, Kentucky daughter of the late Tom and Lilly Correll was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on February 10, 1922 and departed this life on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Britthaven of Somerset Nursing Home having attained the age of 88. She was united in marriage to Mr. Norman L. Phelps who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband Ina was preceded in death by a brother; Hulan Correll, four sisters; Thelma Mansback, Josephine Lester, Della Hunt, Mary Gross and one son-in-law; Richard Hughes. Mrs. Phelps is survived by four daughters; Katherine Hughes of Elihu, Kentucky, Margaret (and George) Barron of the Wilburn Community, Jean (and Herman) Campbell of Somerset, Kentucky and Pati Jones of Somerset, Kentucky. Also surviving are five grandchildren; David (and Christie) Hughes of Elihu, Kentucky, Samuel Hughes of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Scott (and Denise) Jasper of Lebanon, Tennessee, Greg (and Jessica) Barron of Stearns, Kentucky and Mandy Jones of Somerset, Kentucky. Ina also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren and host of relatives and friends who all mourn her passing. Mrs. Phelps was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. William Brown and Bro. Stan Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Ina Phelps will receive friends on Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home.
