Mr. Clifford Tarter, son of the late Lem and Mattie Daulton Tarter, was born at Nancy, KY on August 27, 1917 and he departed this life on Sunday, November 19, 2006 having attained the age of 89 years.
He was united in marriage to Madeline Compton Tarter who preceded him in death on January 25, 2003.
Survivors include; two daughters, Janice (and Billy Joe) Thompson and Betty (and George) Thurman all of Somerset, KY; three sisters, Mollie Wallace of Somerset, KY, Ruie Burton of Missouri, and Anita Phillips of Ohio; and four grandchildren, Jeff (and Kathy)Thurman, Jo Ellen (and Scott) Whitaker, Tracy (and Eddie) Casada, and Lisa (and Bruce) Parkey; and six great grandchildren.
Other than his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by; one sister, Opal Tarter.
Clifford was a retired builder and the owner of Tarter's Building Supply, he was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Somerset.
Clifford was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. C. E. Hansford officiating. Burial will follow beside his wife in the White Oak Cemetery at Nancy, Ky.
