Ms. Danette Sue Danielson, age 49, of Somerset, Kentucky daughter of the late Kenneth Danielson and Marion (Erickson) Danielson was born on January 1, 1961 in Two Harbors, Minnesota and departed this life on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her father; Kenneth Danielson and grandparents. Danette is survived by her mother; Marion Erickson Danielson of Somerset, Kentucky, two brother; Kerry (and Laurie) Danielson of Silver Bay, Minnesota, Rick (and Bobbi) Danielson of Fairbanks, Alaska and one sister; Doreen Tate of San Diego, California. Danette also leaves behind one brother-in-law David Tate, one niece, five nephews and a special friend Loretta Combs and a host of relatives and friends who all mourn her passing. Danette was a veteran of the United States Army and decorated an expert with M-16 Rifle Sharpshooter and Hand Grenades. Danette had also resided in Silver Bay Minnesota and Chicago, Illinois area for many years. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38. The family of Ms. Danielson will receive friends after 11:00 a.m. on Monday until time for services. In Lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made to the American Cancer Society. The family would also like to extend there appreciation to the Lexington VA Doctors, Nurses and Support Staff for there kindness and loving care for Danette S. Danielson.
