Mr. Richard Swartz

Mr. Richard "R.T." Swartz, 82, passed away Sunday November 12, 2006 at his residence. He was the son of Seth and Pearl (Welch) Swartz, he was born on December 23, 1923. He was married to Betty (Jane) Swartz on December 17, 1947. Mr. Swartz was retired from the Rail Road as a Singal Tech and he had also worked for Southern Welding and Supplies. Survivors include his wife Betty (Jane) Swartz, his sons Edwin Thomas Swarts of Somerset; Gary Lynn (Katria) Swartz of Somerset; Daughter Kathy Lou Swartz Cooper of Bristol, VA; Granddaughters Christie Swartz (Rick) Cundiff of Somerset, Megan Ashley Swartz of Richmond, KY; Grandsons Richard Lewis Swartz; James William Cooper of Bristol, VA; Todd Mclure Cooper of Bristol, VA; Brother Seth Swartz of Eubank, KY; Step Granddaughters Molly Smith; Megan Smith Martin; Whitney Pemberton; Step Grandson Brandon Pemberton; Step Great Grandson Mason Jeffries; and Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 sisters Virginia, Gertrude, Nancy, Mildred and Nell Mae. Visitation will be at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. Tuesday November 14, 2006. Funeral Services will be at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home Wednesday November 15, 2006 with Father Michael Ramler officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery. Honors will be presented by American Legion Honor Guard Post #38. The family request that expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Pulaski Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
