Pearl Elizabeth Yahnig

Pearl Elizabeth Jones Yahnig, age 82 of Somerset, Kentucky passed away, Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on November 1, 1927, the daughter of James Denton Jones and Effie Casada Jones Barnett. Pearl was a homemaker and a member of the Somerset First Church of God where she served as custodian for nearly 50 years. Pearl is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Frank O. Yahnig, whom she married in Somerset, Kentucky on December 20, 1947. She is also survived by her only child, Judith (Judy) Greene and husband Bill Broussard and granddaughter, Kimberly Greene all of Somerset; one sister, Loraine Jones Meece of Nicholasville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clyde and Forrest Jones, sisters Nina Jones Hall and Lois Jones Davis and son-in-law Donald Greene. Visitation will be held Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services for Pearl Elizabeth Jones Yahnig will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010, 11:00 AM in the Pulaski Funeral Home with Pastor Paul (Bud) Bastin officiating. Burial will be held at the Mill Springs National Cemetery on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers family request donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
