Charles Henry Walker, age 73, of Somerset, KY was born on September 10, 1933 the son of the late John Wesley Walker and Nancy (Ashurst) Walker and departed this life on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the V. A. Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Survivors include; his former wife from his second marriage, who has been his best friend for more than 25 years, Krista Phelps Keeney; one son, Dewayne "Bubby" (and Lisa) Walker of Somerset, KY; one daughter, Charlotte Osborn of Oceanside, CA; two step-sons, Ricky (and Tina) Keeney of Somerset, KY and Wade Keeney and his special friend, Tiffany Dick of Somerset, KY; two step-daughters, Karla (and Roger) Glover of Somerset, KY and Tammy (and Mark) Taylor of Science Hill, KY; one son-in-law, Wayne (and Jana) Gastineau of Somerset, KY; four grandchildren, Steven Gastineau (and his fiancee, Bridget Hignite) of Science Hill, KY, Suzanne (and Jon) Baker of Somerset, KY, Emily Walker of Somerset, Ky and Wesley Walker of Somerset, KY; eight step-grandchildren, Pamela Tarter of Monticello,KY, Sasha Keeney of Somerset, KY, Anthony Tarter of Monticello, KY, Joshua Taylor of Science Hill, KY, Joe Keeney of Somerset, KY, Corkie Taylor of Science Hill, KY, Dalton Taylor of Science Hill, KY and Dakota Glover of Somerset, KY; one great grandchild, Hayden Wayne Gastineau of Somerset, KY, 6 step great grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Walker of Ohio and one sister, Christine Walker of Somerset, KY.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Geneva Sue Girdler Walker; one daughter, Tamara Joan Gastineau,one son-in-law, Michael Osborn, four brothers, Jesse, William, Howard, and Hershel Walker and one sister, Mae Meeks.
Mr. Walker enjoyed all of the things that life had to offer, he loved to go to his grandchildrens educational and sporting events, he loved the outdoors and things like camping, swimming and fishing. He also liked Gospel music, western movies, dancing, and his family. He was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 02, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens with military honors conducted by the American Legion Post # 38.
