Oma Odella Larner, daughter of the late William Lewis and Elizabeth Tyson Kennedy, was born at Dalby Springs, TX on October 24, 1911 and departed this life on October 25, 2006 having attained the age of 95 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Lowell Larner in Oklahoma on June 01, 1934. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include; two sons, Dennis Larner of Vero beach, FL and Lyndon Larner of Phoenix, AR.; three daughters, Carole Woehler of Burnside, KY, Ida Lambert of Casa Grande, AR., and Ina (and Mike) Bybee of San Antonio, TX; 17 grandchildren, Dan (and Debbie) Larner, Daryl (and Angie) Larner, Dale Larner, Michael A. Bybee, Michelle (and Darrel) Denman, Jill Bybee, David Larner, Dana Larner, Lisa Craig, and Tad (and Sherry) Larner, Neil (and Rhonda) Grubs, Craig (and Jodi) Shannon, Don (and Molly) Nichols, Larry (and Fran) Nichols, Kenny (and Cheryl) Nichols, Steve (and Von) Nichols and Brenda Nichols Branscum, 29 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.
Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by; two brothers, Ben Kennedy and Austin Kennedy; and five sisters, Mae Rayborn, Emma Nelson, Velma Floyd, Dessie Hill, and Pearl Bray.
Mrs. Larner was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Burnside, but at the time of her passing, she attended the 1st Baptist Church of Somerset, KY. She was a housewife, and enjoyed sewing as a hobby. She has seen much of this great country over the years, having been united in marriage in Oklahoma, then shortly thereafter, she moved to Glendale, AR. where she resided for the next 55 years. She then moved to Somerset, Ky and has remained since 1989.
She was a kind Christian lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her, she was always a lady who enjoyed being involved in her church, she was always helping wherever she was needed, but, she enjoyed working with children and teaching in sunday school most of all.
Funeral services for Mrs. Oma Odella Larner will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Nichols and Bro. Ed Bialon officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mrs. Oma Odella Larner will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2006 until after services.
