Ila McBeath Sutherland

Ila McBeath Sutherland, 89, of Nancy, departed this life on October 22, 2006. she was born at Caintown, Kentucky to the late W.E. Randolph and Ocal Roy Randolph. Ila was a faithful member of the West Somerset Baptist Church for many years. She was a dedicated teacher of Sunday School and Training Union. She was presently a member of the Cedar Point Baptist Church in Ingle. She Married the late Marlet Haggard McBeath in 1932. From that union nine children were born. Later in life she married the late Wilbur Sutherland of Nicholasville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her sister, Nina Emerson and a brother, who died in infancy and five children. She is survived by two sons, Welby (Linda) McBeath of Oklahoma and Roger (Rita) McBeath of Georgetown, Kentucky and two daughters, Celia (Charles) Robert of Florida and Judy (Gary) Garner, Nancy, Kentucky and a special neice Sandra (Vernon) Weddle, also of Nancy, Sixteen grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Durning her residence at Britthaven Nursing Home, she was presented the award "Mother of the Year for 2006", and won the spelling bees for years 2005 and 2006. She had an avid desire for self improvement and she fulfilled her lifetime dream by obtainging her GED certificate at the age of 84. Family and Friends may call after 9:00 A.M. until the time of services 2:00 P.M. Tuesday October 24, 2006 at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. Bro. James Floyd will be officiating. Sister Mabel Shadoan will present musical selections. Ila McBeath Sutherland will be laid to rest beside Marlet McBeath the father of her children and her daughter Joann Morris and Chris McBeath at West Somerset Cemetery.
