Mr. James Badgett Sr., son of the late Bonnie and Cannie Carrington Badgett, was born in Paris, Tennessee on October 18, 1923 and departed this life on Sunday, October 15, 2006 having attained the age of 82 years.
He was united in marriage to Bonnie Jean Badgett, she preceded him in death.
Survivors include; one son, James (and Jackie) Badgett Jr. of Fowler, IN; one brother, Joe Badgett of Paris, TN; one sister, Maggie Raby also of Paris, TN; four grandchildren, Bonnie, Barbara, James, and Michelle; and four great grandchildren.
Other than his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Julia Martin
James was a veteran of World War II and a retired clerk from General Motors having served as a faithful employee for more than 25 years. He was also a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
James had many hobbies, but was known to be an avid Quilter.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the McEvoy Funeral Home of Paris, TN. Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
The family of Mr. James Badgett will receive friends at the McEvoy Funeral Home from 12:00 noon on Thursday until time for services.
