Mrs. Imogene Dykes Thrasher, daughter of the late Rev. Greene S. and Mary Belle Poynter Rogers, was born on December 20, 1922 and she departed this life on Friday, June 4, 2010 having attained the age of 87 years.
She was first united in marriage to Rev. James Dykes, he preceded her in death. She was later united in marriage to Mr. Luther Thrasher, he also preceded her in death.
Survivors include; two sons, James Roger (and Sherri) Dykes of Deming, New Mexico, and Richard Allen (and Vickie) Dykes of Georgetown, KY; two daughters, Linda (and Gilbert) Gosser of Somerset, KY and Rosemary Jean Warren of Georgetown, KY; 13 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; one sister, Charlene Sermenshein of Oklahoma and two step-daughters, Mildred Hail and Eula Flowers.
Other than her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by; two sons; Robert Green Dykes and Samuel Dewayne Dykes; one daughter, Sue Frances Dykes; five brothers, Earl, Coy, Curtis, Eugene, and Donald Rogers; one sister, Clessie Bray and one grandchild; Clarisa Norton.
Imogene was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, she was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June8, 2010 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at the Hail Community of Pulaski County.
The family of Mrs. Imogene Dykes Thrasher will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010.
